Malta’s growth into a regional hub for ICT has the full backing and support of its government.  In 2010, the Government of Malta embarked on a long-term industry vision – Smart Island – based around five strategic parameters:

• A 360-degree approach
• Adoption of leading international best practices

• The development of a global knowledge-based township
