In support of the knowledge economy vision of Malta, SmartCity Malta offers the most advanced and reliable ICT infrastructure in the country to meet the high technical requirements of mission-critical digital operations. Business partners will have the flexibility of choosing services and technologies as per their requirements.

Within the Building:

  • All premises are provided with four Cat6 UTP connections and four single-mode fibre
  • Two networks are provided in the building: a pure active Ethernet network and GPON networks
  • All building management and control equipment is connected via an IP network to give the highest possible flexibility, control and integration
  • The service culvert provides the ability to expand the network, scale it up and adopt any new infrastructure technologies at SmartCity Malta

Around SmartCity Malta:

  • No bandwidth limitation on the campus
  • 1GB of bandwidth can be provided to connect externally
  • All buildings will be connected via two separate routes of fibre network
  • The service culvert connecting all buildings will allow for future network expansions and centralise the management of the network
