SmartCity Malta Appoints Country Director

Jin Choi, Executive Director of Strategy and Business Development for SmartCity, has been appointed head of SmartCity Malta operation. He will assume his post of Malta’s Country Director with immediate effect.

Jin Choi is, and has been for over two years, in charge of heading the Strategy and Business Development Department of SmartCity HQ, based in Dubai. With his appointment as SmartCity Malta’s Country Director, Jin will be heading all operations in the development of SmartCity Malta.

On Jin’s appointment Fareed Abdulrahman, Acting SmartCity Malta CEO, commented, “In our recruitment process for a Malta Country Director, we could not overlook the great talent and commitment within our organisation and that is why we opted for internal recruitment. Jin has had early involvement in the development of SmartCity Malta and has full knowledge and familiarity of SmartCity Malta. Jin Choi holds a Master in Business Administration from IMD, Switzerland and was previously employed at multinationals such as Morgan Stanley, Schindler and OC Oerlikon (former Unaxis).
